About the RoleThe Manager - Operations will lead and manage a team of high-performing individuals responsible for end-to-end pricing operations management of retail categories in various Amazon international marketplaces. This involves organizing, planning, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments, as well as owning production and quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing performance measured on operations/business goals and Service Level Agreement (SLA) metrics. They will influence peers and stakeholders in other functions to achieve operational and business goals assigned. Additionally, they will serve as the first point of contact to retail teams worldwide and must be comfortable liaising with remote teams.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of team management experience, knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint at an advanced level. They should also have experience leading process improvements, program or project management, knowledge of databases (querying and analyzing), and Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma concepts.
Duties and Responsibilities- Meet operational and business goals
- Drive data-oriented analysis, adoption of technology solutions, and process improvement projects to achieve operational and business goals
- Manage stakeholder communication across multiple lines of business on operational milestones, process changes, escalations, etc.
- Evaluate and implement high-quality standards for interviewing and hiring employees at all levels of the organization
- Execute specific people programs on coaching and development and team engagement
- Represent data and communicate effectively to handle escalations
- Develop external/internal communication (blurbs, reports, etc.)
- Analyze data and recommend solutions to drive decisions
- Responsible for operational reporting to senior management/stakeholders at Process level
- 2+ years of team management experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience leading process improvements
- Program or project management experience
- Knowledge of databases (querying and analyzing)
- Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma concepts
