Senior Food Regulatory Specialist

Job Description:

The Senior Food Regulatory Specialist will lead the development of regulatory intelligence on domestic and international food labelling regulations across multiple markets.

  • Monitor, analyze, and interpret global regulatory updates and translate them into actionable implications for food businesses.
  • Gain a deep understanding of similarities and dissimilarities between national and international food laws with respect to additives, ingredients, nutrition information, metrology nuances, front-of-pack labelling, and advertising claims.
  • Support the digitization of regulatory frameworks into the company's software-as-a-service platform.
  • Provide thought leadership in nutraceuticals, health supplements, and functional foods.
  • Collaborate with product, technology, and client teams to strengthen digital regulatory solutions.
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in food science, nutrition, or regulatory affairs, with a focus on international food export regulations.
  • A strong working knowledge of labelling standards, claims regulations, and compliance requirements in key global markets.
  • Proven ability to track and analyze regulatory changes, advisories, and amendments.
  • Familiarity with nutraceuticals and health supplement regulations is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with industry, clients, and regulators.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills to support digitization of regulatory processes.
  • Industry understanding of trade policies, export compliance challenges, and regulatory impact on food businesses.
