About this Role
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing complex network infrastructure. This involves working knowledge of Cisco networking products, including Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series switches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exposure to Software-Defined WAN (SD-WAN) with a preference for Prisma SD-WAN, which has been deployed globally.
- A solid understanding of IP protocols, wireless network standards (802.11x), Layer 2 switching, STP, and basic BGP knowledge.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot network problems in a timely manner.
- Familiarity with diagramming tools such as Lucidchart or Visio.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and adherence to change management practices.
- Effective interaction with local and regional carriers to troubleshoot and deliver services.
- Working knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms with the ability to self-manage a ticket queue and provide solutions or resolutions to diverse networking issues.
- Proactive monitoring and management of network solutions to identify areas for improvement in configuration or deployment methodology.
- Contribution to the development, testing, distribution, and documentation of networking technologies and solutions, as well as conducting training or handover of engineered solutions to operational support.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify the root causes of business performance and execution issues through process and data analysis.
- Timely escalation of issues to the team lead for support, approval, and/or resolution.
Beyond technical expertise, strong collaboration and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
