Job Title: DevOps Engineering Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineering Lead to join our team. As the DevOps Lead, you will lead a team of Software engineers and DevOps engineers in developing and maintaining innovative CI/CD tools and infrastructures that significantly improve the efficiency and productivity of functional, performance, and reliability testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide your team to deliver value pragmatically and productively while building architecturally sound, well-crafted, secure, testable, interoperable, and easily modifiable systems.
  • Lead a team of Software engineers and DevOps engineers to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure solutions that support our applications and services.
  • Design and build, on-boarding and support tools to accelerate build, testing, release, and deployment.
  • Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git, Artifactory, Kubernetes etc.
  • Drive/contribute to standard methodology of improving code quality, performance and security compliance.
  • Foster operational excellence, improving the performance, availability, and scalability of your systems, and your team's ability to consistently improve them.
  • Evaluate team architectural designs for completeness and coherence with requirements.
  • Own the technical backlog for areas such as cloud superstructure, paved path runtimes, build / deployment, and observability.
  • Represent the team and charter to internal stakeholders, leadership, and the business.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as an DevOps, with a focus on AWS.
  • Experience with software system design with a solid background in Java backend development.
  • Exposure into CICD space on how to build, test and deploy the code.
  • Developmental experience on shared libraries in Jenkins
  • Exposure into CI tools: Git, Maven/Gradle/NPM, SonarQube, Docker, nexus, Artifactory.
  • Experience in Kubernetes: EKS, GKE or kubeadm setup and Experience with large-scale distributed systems is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with other IT teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with networking, storage, logging, monitoring, tracing and alert.
