Key Kubernetes Platform Professional

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, deploying and maintaining large-scale containerized platforms on OpenShift. This position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the scalability, reliability and security of applications and systems.

  • Design, develop and maintain robust, scalable and secure internal Kubernetes/Container platforms that support the deployment, scaling and management of containerized applications.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts, tools and documentation to streamline deployment and management processes.
  • Proactively monitor system metrics, troubleshoot issues and optimize resources to ensure platform stability and performance.
  • Implement observability solutions like monitoring, logging and tracing tools to gain valuable insights into platform performance and application behavior.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to development teams, helping them adopt the Kubernetes platform and improve their application deployment and management capabilities.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects and project managers to deliver solutions on time, meeting business requirements.
  • Ensure security and compliance by implementing security controls, performing vulnerability assessments and creating documentation.
Requirements:
  • At least 7+ years of experience in OpenShift Engineering, including some public cloud experience.
  • Experience in platform engineering, infrastructure automation, SRE or similar roles.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes architecture, concepts and components, with hands-on experience in building and managing Kubernetes platforms in production environments.
  • End-to-end implementation of the Kubernetes architecture - installation, configuration, hardening, networking etc.
  • Proficiency in a procedural or scripting programming language like Python or Go.
  • Experience designing and deploying containerized applications on Kubernetes.
  • Experience with automation tools like Helm, Terraform, Ansible and Azure DevOps.
  • Understanding of security and compliance best practices.
  • Familiarity with observability best practices and tools like Prometheus, Grafana or ELK Stack.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

This role requires a strong understanding of containerization, Kubernetes and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, deploying and maintaining large-scale containerized platforms.
