Linguist and Editor

Seeking a talented linguist with exceptional translation and editing skills to join our team.

We are looking for a skilled Translator and Proofreader to work on translating advertisement content from English to Marathi, including commercial ads, classifieds, promotional content, and display ads. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and editing skills in Marathi, as well as familiarity with advertising language, tone, and persuasive techniques.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Translating advertisement content accurately and efficiently
• Ensuring cultural appropriateness of translated advertisements
• Adapting advertising copy to suit Marathi audience sensibilities
• Proofreading and reviewing final copy before publication

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Marathi Literature, Linguistics, Mass Communication, Advertising, or related fields
• At least 2 years of experience in translation, preferably with a focus on advertising or media
• Excellent writing and editing skills in Marathi
• Familiarity with advertising language, tone, and persuasive techniques
• Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines
• Proficiency in basic computer tools (MS Office, Google Docs)
