Finance Specialist Role

About the Job:

We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to join our team as a Finance Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial statements.

  • Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Statement Preparation:

Prepare and review accurate financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).

2. Variance Analysis and Insights:

Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights on financial performance.

3. Close Process Management:

Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely closure of books.

4. Journal Entries and General Ledger:

Post journal entries for accruals, adjustments, and reclassifications as required. Maintain and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational policies.

5. Account Reconciliations:

Perform regular reconciliations of key accounts, including intercompany and balance sheet accounts.

6. Compliance and Audits:

Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, including GST, TDS, and corporate tax. Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and reconciliations.

7. Fixed Asset Management:

Oversee fixed asset management, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.

8. Supply Chain Collaboration:

Collaborate with the supply chain and inventory teams to ensure accurate costing and inventory valuation.

9. Process Improvement:

Identify areas for improvement within finance processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

10. Automation Initiatives:

Implement automation and standardization initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

11. Stakeholder Liaison:

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax consultants, and senior management, to ensure smooth operations and compliance.

12. Team Supervision:

Supervise and mentor junior accountants in the finance function.

13. Performance Monitoring:

Monitor the team's performance and ensure adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
