Product Owner and Team Leader for POM Engineering

Job Summary

Western Digital is seeking a highly skilled Product Owner and Team Leader to manage a cross-functional Program Operations Management (POM) Team responsible for identifying and managing operational activities of multiple products throughout their Life Cycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management and new product introduction (NPI) experience specializing in EMS/Semiconductor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a cross-functional POM Team to identify and manage operational activities of multiple products throughout their Life Cycle.
  • Represent Operations in Core team meetings and make decisions and commitments on behalf of the Operations team.
  • Identify and prepare qualification plans for product development, samples, and manage qualification builds for the client SSD organization.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain Planning teams, Procurement, Sales Operations, and Factory Management during development and manufacturing ramp-up of the product.
  • Ensure Low Volume Manufacturing and production readiness by coordinating with Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales Operations, and Factory.
  • Ensure Bill of Material and SKU management requirements are met.
  • Maintain and update Western Digital's internal software and databases to reflect existing and future NPI/Engineering demand, assembly instructions, build, and engineering sample plan.
  • Maintain and lead efforts to improve models and further automate and optimize business processes and cost reduction activities.

Requirements

  • BS/ in Engineering / Supply Chain Management/ Management / Science, MS/ MBA preferred.
  • 4+ years of Program Management and NPI experience specializing in EMS/Semiconductor.
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills, knowledge in Semiconductor industry NPI, supply chain processes, and activities.
  • Very strong data analytics, presentation, and communication skills, great communication skills with proven ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in working with a multinational team and ability to work independently with internal customers at all levels and with various cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
  • Able to constructively challenge the status quo, provide solutions, and implement new processes.
  • Working knowledge of applications such as MS Excel, MS Projects, Agile, and SAP.
