Job Description

At aiqa health, we're seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about developing complex applications and backend services using Python and Django.

Key Responsibilities:
  • We're looking for someone to design, develop, and maintain applications using Python and Django.
  • The ideal candidate will implement and manage RESTful APIs using Django Rest Framework.
  • Experience with integrating third-party services and APIs, including AWS (boto3), OAuth, and Payment Gateways is highly desirable.
  • You'll work with various libraries and frameworks such as Pillow, psycopg2, and sqlparse to enhance application functionality.
  • Ensuring application security using JWT and other security best practices is crucial.
  • Optimizing application performance using tools like Gunicorn and Whitenoise is also important.
  • The successful candidate will manage and deploy applications using Docker and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Collaboration with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic is essential.
  • Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards is vital.
  • Bug fixing and resolving technical issues are also part of the job.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement is highly valued.
Required Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
  • At least 4 years of experience in Python development with a strong focus on Django is necessary.
  • Proficiency in relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, and experience with psycopg2-binary is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Django Rest Framework and building RESTful APIs is essential.
  • Familiarity with authentication and authorization mechanisms, including JWT is crucial.
  • Experience with AWS services (boto3, botocore) and managing cloud infrastructure is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git is necessary.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are crucial.
Compensation

Estimated salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
