Skilled Tradesperson

We are seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our hotel maintenance team as a Carpenter. This is a full-time position that requires the successful candidate to possess a strong understanding of carpentry and maintenance skills.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining all hand tools, power hand tools, and woodworking machines within the hotel. You will also interpret scale drawings, perform simple drawing detailing, shape and prepare timber, make doors frames groundsskirting architrave and all kinds of fitments, fix and repair frames in walls doors windows gates locks and furniture, assist the Chief Engineer with minor modification and improvement works, maintain records of locks repairs and keys replacement jobs, and comply with hotel and department policies and procedures.

• Secondary /High school education
• Trade Certificate will be advantageous
• Minimum 3 years of relevant hands-on experience in area of expertise
• Good reading and oral proficiency in English language

This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate must be willing to work effectively and contribute in a team environment. You must also be self-motivated and energetic, with a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 per annum, plus benefits such as comprehensive health insurance, paid annual leave, and professional development opportunities.
