Cloud Support Engineer

As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the high availability, redundancy, and business continuity of our cloud deployments, systems, and services.

  • You will act as a trusted advisor in your assigned vertical, participating in high-value customer engagement and providing technical expertise to drive business growth.
  • You will build, deploy, and manage Virtual Machines, PaaS services such as Analytics, and automation in the Azure Cloud environment, leading to improved efficiency and enhanced end-user experience.
  • As an SME for Azure platforms (IaaS, Intune/Autopilot, etc.) within the IT operations team, you will lead and participate in process improvement discussions, identifying bottlenecks/challenges and providing technical insight.
  • You will create deployment guides, Standard Operating Procedures, and perform knowledge transfers to other members in the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill enhancement.
  • With expertise in performing backups (Commvault), upgrading (patching), performance tuning, monitoring, alerting, deployments, and disaster recovery within the Azure cloud environment, you will ensure that our systems are always up-to-date and running smoothly.
  • Implementing and conducting Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly health checks for the Cloud environment and all the other integration platforms, you will proactively identify potential issues and take corrective action to prevent downtime.
  • Performing system audits to ensure performance benchmarks are met and providing recommendations and a roadmap for future enhancements, considering growth and optimization, you will drive business innovation and improve overall performance.
  • You will maintain and update Cloud support policies, practices, and methodologies, ensuring that they are aligned with industry best practices and meet changing business needs.
  • Responsible for resolving support tickets within the ITSM platform tool; incidents, service requests, problem tickets, and change requests, you will provide timely and effective support to our customers and stakeholders.
  • Designing, writing, and delivering scripts (JSON, PowerShell, Perl, Python) and automation code to improve the availability, scalability, reliability, and efficiency of On-prem, Azure Cloud, and application integration platforms, you will leverage technology to drive business success.
  • Preventing problem recurrence through repeatable automated processing, you will minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Reviewing current toolsets and unlocking capabilities not leveraged by the IT Dept., you will identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes that drive business value.
  • Participating in daily, weekly, and monthly knowledge sharing sessions to guide technical skills enhancement for the Service Desk team, you will foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
  • Managing and supporting escalation requests from the Service Desk team, you will provide critical support to our customers and stakeholders.
  • Providing senior-level mentorship to Service Desk team members on daily issues, you will develop the skills and expertise of our team members, ensuring that they are equipped to handle complex technical challenges.
  • Creating and regularly updating knowledge articles for the Service Desk team and the IT operations team, you will share knowledge and best practices across the organization, driving business success and improving overall performance.
