Job Title:

Flight Control Systems Engineer

Design and develop algorithms for path planning, guidance strategies, control systems, and navigation/sensor fusion.


  • Implement designs/algorithms with UAVs/drones, test, and validate them in simulation environments that closely resemble actual flight scenarios.
  • Familiarity with autopilot firmware (e.g., PX4 and ArduPilot) and sensor selection for specific UAV applications is essential.
  • Knowledge of drones/aerial robots, particularly control and stability aspects, is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System identification and mathematical modeling of UAV dynamics.
  • Calibration and integration of various sensors.
  • Development of autonomous flight control, navigation, and guidance systems.

Requirements:

  • PhD or MTech/ME with relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (Python, C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, ROS/ROS2, Gazebo etc.) and software tools (Mission Planner, QGC, CubeIDE, CubeMX).

Working Conditions:

  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance UAV system capabilities.
  • Maintaining proper documentation of design processes, test results, modifications in algorithms, and providing technical reports.
