Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer with deep expertise in Cisco's enterprise network technologies and Fortinet's FortiGate firewalls. This is an exceptional opportunity to join our dynamic IT services team and drive improvements across our managed service centers.

">About the Role

This role involves providing L1/L2 support for Cisco switches and FortiGate firewall incidents, diagnosing and resolving complex network and security issues affecting client operations. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting and deploying complex network environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Complex Issues: Provide L1/L2 support for Cisco switches and FortiGate firewall incidents.
  • Deployment and Configuration: Plan, execute, and manage the deployment of network devices and security solutions, including configuration, testing, and integration into existing networks.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
  • Incident Management: Take ownership of critical incidents, coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, and maintain thorough documentation of all processes and solutions.
  • Client Interaction: Work directly with clients to understand their technical issues, provide regular updates, and ensure their practical solutions meet their needs.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience in networking and security, specifically with Cisco switches and FortiGate firewalls.
  • Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher, Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) certification preferred.
Skills:
  • Advanced Troubleshooting: Exceptional ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues using industry-standard and specialized tools.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, QoS).
  • Expertise in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Cisco enterprise network technologies (Routing, Switching, ISE, Wireless) and FortiGate firewalls.
  • SD-WAN Expertise: Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Fortinet's Secure SD-WAN solution, including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting of SD-WAN deployments.

A strong analytical and problem-solving skillset, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are essential for this position.
