Job Title: Cloud Architect

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Specialist to lead our cloud initiatives and drive innovation.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS and Kubernetes, as well as strong development skills for SaaS applications.

The Cloud Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-scale cloud solutions in Kubernetes, including conducting proof-of-concept (POC) and prototyping of cloud solutions.

Additionally, the Cloud Specialist will define integration design and security design for web services and enterprise component development, manage storage management like AWS Storage, and work extensively on AWS EKS.

The successful candidate will also create and manage Docker images, perform cloud cost analysis, estimations, and apply best practices.

They will manage Kubernetes system services and worker nodes, work with database administration and DBMS, and create documentation and design documents.

The Cloud Specialist will provide estimates for requirements, engage with the senior architecture group, collaborate with internal technology teams, and contribute to internal initiatives.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of Kubernetes API and client libraries, as well as proficiency in infrastructure as code concepts.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience with hands-on coding and ability to program independently
  • AWS Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional)
  • Strong Linux/UNIX experience
  • Hands-on experience in Terraform
  • Experience in AWS Cloud platforms across a wide range of services
  • Experience in implementing AWS Cloud Security
  • Experience using Postgres databases
  • Knowledge of Load Balancing, Auto-Scaling, and Route 53 for traffic management
  • Experience with Network Access Control List, VPC peering, AWS CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail
  • Ability to design Highly Available and/or Fault-Tolerant Architectures
  • Experience with open-source technologies and tools
  • Experience designing, developing, and deploying high-scale solutions in Kubernetes
  • Understanding of optimized coding for memory consumption, performance, scalability, security, caching, etc.
  • Experience with Docker, HELM, and Kubernetes
  • Experience working with scripting languages (YAML)
  • Experience with stateless/stateful applications deployed on Kubernetes in production environments
  • Working experience with AWS and Kubernetes API
  • Experience with reporting and analysis tools for cloud platforms
  • Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines from scratch
