Are you a seasoned professional with expertise in manual and functional testing? We seek an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for someone who can work independently as well as collaboratively, analyzing business and functional requirements to create detailed test plans and test cases. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of software development life cycles and quality assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze business and functional requirements to create detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Execute test cases manually and log defects with comprehensive documentation.
  • Validate fixes and perform regression testing as needed.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to ensure quality in the development process.
  • Participate in all phases of testing life cycle (test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting).
  • Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements and maintain test artifacts.
  • Provide estimates for test efforts and contribute to sprint planning (if Agile).
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices.
Required Skills:
  • 2 to 7 years of hands-on experience in functional and manual testing.
  • Experience in test case design, execution, and defect management.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
  • Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail, or similar.
  • Experience in web, mobile, and API testing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Good documentation and communication skills.
  • Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies.
Preferred Skills:
  • Basic understanding of automation testing tools like Selenium, Postman, or similar.
  • Experience in banking, insurance, healthcare, or e-commerce domains is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL for database validation.
  • ISTQB certification is a plus.
