The Senior System Engineer will provide day-to-day support of client networks, servers, storage, and overall infrastructure.

Job Description:

  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for complex IT issues related to networks, servers, and infrastructure.
  • Maintain and optimize system performance to ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve infrastructure and network reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Remotely and on-site maintain our clients' IT infrastructure when needed.
  • Help architect and implement various IT projects including high availability, virtualization, and cloud services.
  • Serve as the escalation point for unresolved issues from desktop engineers or helpdesk staff.
  • Collaborate with Managers, Service Coordinators, and other Engineers to meet customer service commitments and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network and system problems as required.
  • Represent the company professionally and positively with our clients.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience managing Windows-based networks and servers.
  • Strong expertise in Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365 administration, and Windows security.
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls (Cisco, SonicWALL, Dell, Fortinet).
  • Proficient in heavily virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with on-premise and cloud-based backup solutions and cloud-based email systems (O365, GSuite).
  • Experience with MDM solutions (Intune, Jamf, etc.)
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and possess excellent time management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • CCNA or equivalent networking experience is desired.
  • MSCE or equivalent server experience is desired.
  • Technical certifications are beneficial.
