Job Title: Senior Technical Artist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Artist to join our team. This role is ideal for an artist who can bridge the gap between art and engineering for next-gen gaming projects.

This position involves collaborating with artists, designers, and engineers to develop visually stunning, performant game content and tools. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining art pipelines and tools, optimizing assets and performance for target platforms (PC, console, mobile, VR/AR), implementing shaders, VFX, and real-time lighting setups, solving complex technical challenges in rendering, rigging, and animation workflows, evaluating and integrating new technologies, tools, and engines, providing mentorship and support to junior tech artists and other team members, ensuring asset compliance with performance and memory budgets, and collaborating with the design team to prototype new gameplay features and visual effects.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between art and engineering teams
  • Design, develop, and maintain art pipelines and tools
  • Optimize assets and performance for target platforms (PC, console, mobile, VR/AR)
  • Implement shaders, VFX, and real-time lighting setups
  • Solve complex technical challenges in rendering, rigging, and animation workflows
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies, tools, and engines
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior tech artists and other team members
  • Ensure asset compliance with performance and memory budgets
  • Collaborate with the design team to prototype new gameplay features and visual effects
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Our ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience as a Technical Artist in the gaming industry. They should have proficiency with real-time engines, strong understanding of 2D/3D pipelines, expertise in shader programming, experience with scripting languages, deep knowledge of PBR workflows, lighting, and rendering optimization, familiarity with rigging, skinning, and animation systems, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Artist in the gaming industry
  • Proficiency with real-time engines
  • Strong understanding of 2D/3D pipelines
  • Expertise in shader programming
  • Experience with scripting languages
  • Deep knowledge of PBR workflows, lighting, and rendering optimization
  • Familiarity with rigging, skinning, and animation systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Note that experience in CCG game development, familiarity with VFX tools like Niagara, Cascade, PopcornFX, knowledge of profiling tools, background in computer graphics, animation, or computer science, and experience with source control systems are preferred qualifications but not required.
