Senior Java Developer - Build Tools and CI/CD Expert

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Java Developer with expertise in build tools and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for migrating our existing Ant-based build system to either Maven or Gradle, while preserving the current project structure.

The ideal candidate will have strong foundation in Java programming language, in-depth knowledge of Ant build tool and experience in migrating to Maven or Gradle, as well as understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with tools like GitHub Actions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Migrating the build system to either Maven or Gradle, ensuring minimal disruption to the development workflow.
  • Designing and implementing a comprehensive CI/CD pipeline using GitHub Actions.
  • Integrating the CI/CD pipeline with the chosen build tool (Maven or Gradle).
  • Implementing automated testing, code quality checks, and deployment stages.

In addition to the above responsibilities, the Senior Java Developer will contribute to the development and maintenance of Java-based applications, write clean, efficient, and well-tested code, and collaborate with the development team to ensure project success.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in Java programming language.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ant build tool and experience in migrating to Maven or Gradle.
  • Understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with tools like GitHub Actions.
  • Proficiency in version control systems (Git).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
