Job Title: Senior Accounting Professional

This role is ideal for a highly skilled and experienced accounting professional who can lead the way in account reconciliations, accounts payable/receivables, forecasting, budgeting, and customer billing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure business transactions are accurately reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Work closely with team members to provide expert assistance with payables and receivables.
  • Assist with the annual audit process, including the preparation of financial statements and related notes.
  • Research and analyze expense variances for company management to inform strategic decisions.
  • Oversee Accounts Payables & Receivables operations, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Provide valuable insights to management by analyzing accounting data and preparing comprehensive reports.
  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Document financial transactions by accurately entering account information.
  • Recommend financial actions by evaluating accounting options and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Summarize current financial status by collecting and analyzing key metrics and presenting findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Verify the accuracy of financial transactions by conducting thorough audits.
  • Maintain effective accounting controls by developing and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Guide accounting clerical staff by providing coaching and training to ensure high-quality work.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information and identifying solutions.
  • Safeguard financial information by completing regular database backups and adhering to internal controls.
  • Manage payment processing by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements in a timely manner.
  • Address accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting relevant accounting policies and regulations.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by staying up-to-date on new legislation and advising management on necessary actions.
  • Prepare customized financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive financial information.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to inform business decisions.
  • Conduct account reconciliation and analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage deadlines to meet tight schedules for Accounts Payables and Receivables operations.
