Job Opportunity: Expert in Underwriting Enablement

The ideal candidate will transform experienced underwriting knowledge into training, playbooks and quality standards that empower reviewers to learn the basics of retail/home-loan underwriting and curate AI model responses with high accuracy.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach non-specialists underwriting fundamentals including FOIR/DTI, LTV, income stability, bureau interpretation, documentation hygiene, fraud red flags, policy exceptions.
  • Train reviewers to review and correct AI outputs by applying rules, correcting decisions, adding reason codes and documenting edge cases.
  • Design micro-curricula and SOPs including short modules (30–60 minutes) with examples, quizzes, checklists and local-language handouts.
  • Create quality rubrics including acceptance criteria, pass/fail checklists, quick-fix macros, escalation rules and calibration guidelines.
  • Define data needs from cases to capture missing rules/thresholds and draft data-needs specs for synthetic data generation.
  • Champion ethics and privacy to ensure PII handling, fairness and compliant decision rationales in training and review workflows.

Qualifications:

  • 4-8 years of experience in retail/home-loan underwriting with hands-on decisioning and policy interpretation.
  • Proven training or mentorship experience with ability to teach beginners and non-technical learners.
  • Strong grasp of calculations and documents including FOIR/DTI/LTV/EMI, income proofs, bank statements and credit bureau reports.
  • Fluency in English is required. Telugu language skills are also desirable.
