Seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure the highest quality software tests across functionality, architecture, and security in drilling applications.

This role combines QA expertise with upstream oil & gas domain knowledge, providing a challenging opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with engineers in drilling and completions to deliver high-quality solutions, aligning with project goals and objectives.
  • Contribute as an active Software Tester on Agile teams, developing and executing test cases based on acceptance criteria, ensuring seamless integration with development workflows.
  • Validate functionality, workflows, and end-user requirements, identifying and documenting bugs through resolution, maintaining a high level of precision and attention to detail.
  • Participate in sprint planning, ensuring QA requirements are covered, and maintain test environments, contributing to automation frameworks and process improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum, Geophysics, Geology, or Chemical Engineering, preferably with a focus on software testing or quality assurance.
  • At least 2 years of experience in QA/testing, preferably in Oil & Gas upstream applications, with a strong understanding of upstream processes and systems.
  • Good knowledge of well engineering concepts: drilling techniques, fluids management, completions, and well performance, including exposure to engineering tools such as WellCat, WellPlan, and Compass.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks and test tools, as well as strong knowledge of SDLC/STLC and multiple test types (Smoke, Functional, Regression, UAT, Performance).
  • Hands-on experience with test/defect management tools, including Azure DevOps, TFS, and JIRA, with a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and ISTQB certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
