Unlocking Business Value through Data Engineering

As a mid-level data engineer, you will play a pivotal role in crafting efficient data pipelines to drive business strategy and product innovation. Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and business teams to ensure data is clean, reliable, and accessible for analytics, reporting, and product development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient data pipelines (ETL/ELT) to move data from multiple sources into data stores/warehouses.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, models, and metrics that align with business objectives.
  • Optimize data storage solutions (Postgres, BigQuery, Redshift, or cost-effective alternatives) to minimize costs and maximize data accessibility.
  • Ensure data quality, validation, and governance across all pipelines to maintain the integrity of business-critical information.
  • Implement automation, monitoring, and alerting for data workflows to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
  • Support business intelligence, dashboards, and analytics use cases to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate on API integrations and structured/unstructured data ingestion to expand data capabilities.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in data engineering / backend development.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python (or equivalent programming language).
  • Hands-on experience with ETL frameworks (Airbyte, Airflow, dbt, Luigi, or similar).
  • Good understanding of data warehousing concepts, schema design, and optimization techniques.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) or open-source alternatives.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and a passion for building scalable systems that drive business outcomes.
