Job Overview:

A highly experienced Process Director is required to lead our team in delivering complex process engineering projects.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemical Engineering and at least 18-20 years of experience in process departments or technical services departments of pharmaceutical, biotech, or lifesciences companies.

They will be responsible for reviewing technical requirements, participating in client discussions, investigating and analyzing systems to improve efficiency and accuracy, and ensuring work is compliant with project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out basic and detailed engineering work, including heat & mass balance calculations and utility sizing for API, OSD, and Biotech Projects.
  • Reviewing client specifications and participating in discussions to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Investigating and implementing methods to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensuring work and progress are in compliance with project requirements and schedules.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Knowledge of simulation software such as HYSYS and ASPEN.
  • Strong knowledge on layout designing of API, OSD, Sterile, and Biotech processes.
  • Sound knowledge on area classification and man-material flow concepts.
  • Sound knowledge on equipment selection criteria like Fermentation, Bioreactors, TFF, Chromatography, Filling Lines, etc.

Skills:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proficiency in process engineering calculations such as thermal rating of heat exchangers, hydraulics, and capacity mapping of Biotech Projects using Schedule.
  • Experience in preparing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs), and review all aspects of design and construction for consistency and safety.
