Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned API Developer to join our engineering team. As a key member, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining APIs that support seamless integration between internal systems and third-party applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot RESTful APIs with JSON as the primary data format.
  • Ensure smooth integration between various systems, both internal and third-party.
  • Monitor, maintain, and optimize existing APIs for reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver integration solutions.
  • Debug and resolve integration issues and provide timely fixes.
  • Document API architecture, workflows, and integration processes.
  • Implement best practices for API security, error handling, and data validation.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in developing and maintaining APIs and API integrations.
  • Strong proficiency in JSON and experience working with XML is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with RESTful API development and SOAP API development.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
  • Familiarity with integration platforms, middleware, or ESB tools is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of authentication and security protocols (OAuth, JWT, API keys).
  • Good programming skills in languages like Java, Node.js, Python, or similar.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working with version control tools (Git).
  • Good understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
