The Inspire Brands Hyderabad Support Center will focus on developing new capabilities in data science, data analytics, e-commerce, automation, cloud computing, and information security to accelerate the company's business strategy. This cutting-edge center will also host an innovation lab and collaborate with start-ups to develop solutions for productivity optimization, workforce management, loyalty management, payments systems, and more.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Assets Accountant - Asset Lifecycle Management to join our team at the Inspire Brands Hyderabad Support Center. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for performing functional setup tasks, reviewing capital expenditures, researching project information, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate asset classification and coding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform functional setup tasks such as create, edit, and delete tasks of approved capital projects and support project maintenance and closure in the Projects module (PPM) in Oracle Cloud ERP production systems.
  • Review the proper coding for all capital expenditures in accordance with the Capitalization policy.
  • Research project information in Oracle PPM module to confirm the correct project code is assigned to CAPEX invoices.
  • Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to research issues related to project coding prior to payment.
  • Review and process capital invoices/purchase orders including remodels and new store construction to ensure correct GAAP accounting classification (capital or expense) and correct project coding.
  • Investigate and track rejected CAPEX invoices, capital project coding discrepancies, process gaps, system issues, and resolve them timely.
  • Collaborate with Facilities Management, Development, IT, and others to ensure proper coding and classifications for capital expenditures to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and support to all support center and field employees while ensuring all policies adhered to.
  • Prepare assigned fixed asset-related journal entries and account reconciliations of asset activity between the Fixed Assets/Projects sub-ledger and the General Ledger and asset roll-forwards.
  • Assist with Project Accounting (PA) and Fixed Assets (FA) month-end closing including processing the PA and FA sub-ledger systems.
  • Complete other special projects as needed.
Education Qualifications
  • A four-year business degree, preferably in Accounting.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Multitask retail accounting experience preferred.
  • Prior accounting experience with Accounts Payable processes and CAPEX project accounting.
  • System knowledge: Oracle Cloud (AP, PPM, GL modules)
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication, and organizational skills. High-level ability to interpret and analyze data and make recommendations based on findings.
  • Must be detail-oriented with the ability to plan work effectively, meet deadlines assigned, and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to multitask and shift priorities.
  • Proficient in Excel and Word.
  • QSR accounting experience preferred.
