Senior Data Testing Engineer Position Overview

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Data Testing Engineer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python, Pandas, REST API and testing, with a solid understanding of data validation, data processing.

This position offers the opportunity to work on designing, developing, and executing automated and manual test cases for data validation and transformation processes. You will collaborate with data engineers and developers to understand data flows and ensure quality across the pipeline.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing Python scripts using Pandas for data comparison, profiling, and anomaly detection. They will also test data against RESTful APIs for correctness, performance, and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automated and manual test cases for data validation and transformation processes.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and developers to ensure quality across the pipeline.
  • Develop Python scripts using Pandas for data comparison, profiling, and anomaly detection.
  • Test data against RESTful APIs for correctness, performance, and reliability.

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in Python and Pandas for data manipulation and testing.
  • Hands-on experience using tools like Postman, Pytest, or similar.
  • Experience with data validation, data profiling, and data quality frameworks.
  • Familiarity with MongoDB and NoSQL data models is a plus.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
