Job Role: Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer with 35 years of experience to join our team and support cloud-based data processing environments.

  • Design, manage, and optimize data workflows on AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop, write, and debug Spark jobs for data transformation and analysis.
  • Maintain Python scripts for data processing using functional programming constructs.
  • Optimize Oracle queries for large data volumes.

About the Role:

  • The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to AWS services (especially EMR), basic knowledge of Spark and Python programming, and a working understanding of Oracle query optimization.
  • Candidate will be responsible for designing and managing cloud-based data processing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient data workflows.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in data processing pipelines.
  • Develop and maintain software applications and tools that meet business requirements.

Required Skills:

  • AWS Services: EMR, S3, IAM, KMS
  • Spark: Basic understanding and hands-on experience
  • Python: Core concepts, functions, lambda expressions, map/filter/reduce, flatMap, list/array handling, groupBy, aggregate, reduceByKey
  • Oracle: Basic query tuning and performance optimization
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
  • Experience working in a data engineering or data pipeline environment
