Key Role: Technical Service Manager

Job Overview

The Technical Services Lead drives business success by providing exceptional technical support across the Polymer industry, encompassing Coating, Packaging, Carpet, and Adhesive segments.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Deliver expert formulation solutions for targeted markets and develop/adapt formulations to meet local market requirements.
  • Training and Development: Conduct comprehensive training sessions for customers, distributors, and internal teams to enhance their understanding of polymer science and standard test methods.
  • Competitive Analysis: Perform in-depth competitive analysis and recommend strategies to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to statutory and internal standards, maintaining lab operations efficiently while upholding EHS and ISO requirements.
  • Customer Support: Provide prompt and effective customer complaint resolution and application troubleshooting services.
  • Lab Management: Oversee lab equipment maintenance, instrument calibration, and document results accordingly.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate degree (MSc or Master's of Engineering) in Chemistry is highly preferred.
  • At least 8 years of formulation experience in Polymer dispersions/coatings, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/people leadership role.
  • Solid grasp of polymer science and standard test methods.
  • Strong customer focus with excellent communication skills.
  • Deep knowledge of core markets, competitors, and emulsion polymer technology.
