As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of complex embedded systems projects. This role involves providing technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, defining technical direction for embedded systems projects, and designing, developing, and maintaining embedded firmware using C, C++, and Assembly.
This position requires collaboration with hardware engineers on hardware design, circuit analysis, and interfacing, selecting and integrating electronic components, sensors, and actuators, and utilizing debugging tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters for troubleshooting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers
- Defining technical direction for embedded systems projects
- Designing, developing, and maintaining embedded firmware using C, C++, and Assembly
- Implementing RTOS concepts such as FreeRTOS and Embedded Linux
- Collaborating with hardware engineers on hardware design, circuit analysis, and interfacing
- Selecting and integrating electronic components, sensors, and actuators
- Utilizing debugging tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters for troubleshooting
Required skills and qualifications include:
- Strong understanding of microcontrollers, microprocessors, and digital signal processors
- Familiarity with various embedded system architectures
- Knowledge of 32/16/8bit microcontrollers
- Proficiency in C, C++, and Assembly programming languages
- Experience with scripting languages like Python for test automation
- Hands-on experience with hardware design, circuit analysis, and interfacing
- Familiarity with electronic components, sensors, and actuators
- Proficiency with IDEs (e.g, Arduino IDE, STMCubeIDE, VS Code)
- Proficiency with PCB design software (e.g, KiCad)
- Proficiency with circuit drawing software (e.g, AutoCAD)
- Experience using debugging tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters
- Understanding of communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, Bluetooth, USB)
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree a plus)
- Proficiency in MATLAB
The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
