Backend Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Backend Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Python-based backend systems and AI-powered services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Create high-quality, scalable, and efficient backend systems using Python and relevant frameworks.
  • API Development: Build and manage RESTful APIs using Django or FastAPI for integrating AI/ML models.
  • Model Deployment: Develop and deploy machine learning and GenAI models using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
  • Pipeline Implementation: Utilize Langchain to implement GenAI pipelines; experience with LangGraph is an asset.
  • Infrastructure Management: Leverage AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, SageMaker, and CloudFormation for infrastructure and deployment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, DevOps, and architects to integrate models and workflows into production.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines for backend and model deployments.
  • Performance Optimization: Ensure performance, scalability, and security of applications in cloud environments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Python backend development.
  • API Development: Strong experience building RESTful APIs using Django or FastAPI.
  • AWS Services: Proficiency in AWS cloud services: EC2, S3, Lambda, SageMaker, CloudFormation, etc.
  • Machine Learning: Solid understanding of ML/AI concepts and model deployment practices.
  • ML Libraries: Experience with ML libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • Langchain: Hands-on experience with Langchain for building GenAI applications.
  • DevOps Tools: Familiarity with DevOps tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Jenkins, Terraform.
  • Microservices Architecture: Good understanding of microservices architecture and CI/CD workflows.
  • Agile Development: Agile development experience.
Nice to Have:
  • LangGraph Experience: Experience with LangGraph for agentic workflows or graph-based orchestration.
  • LLMs Knowledge: Knowledge of LLMs, embeddings, and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, FAISS).
  • GenAI Platforms: Exposure to OpenAI APIs, AWS Bedrock, or similar GenAI platforms.
  • MLOps Tools: Understanding of MLOps tools and practices for model monitoring, versioning, and retraining.
