Job Title: Chief Technology Officer

Oversee and lead the digital transformation of an organization across business units. Establish a solid foundation that supports growth, differentiates in the market, and positions as a futuristic customer-centric entity.

The ideal candidate will define the vision, roadmap, architecture, implementation of digital transformation, and establish a lean operations model enabling efficient IT operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Define an integrated data management approach and build an AI-enabled business analytics capability to help monetize data and leverage it for superior experience and business value creation.
  • Build a comprehensive security framework and visualize/build customer/employee-centric experience platforms connecting the organization.
  • Report to the CEO, providing oversight and direction to IT and business leaders on strategy, standards, and opportunities for shared services and economies of scale.
  • Position the organization as a thought leader in industry forums and create visibility – own innovation charter across the organization.
  • Advise the senior management team on emerging technologies and digital trends relevant to the company's goals and evolving needs.
  • Define futuristic IT architecture focused on experience-led customer/employee-centric systems, delivering a seamless omni-channel experience across sales and service.
  • Lead and mentor the IT department, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Determine capital investment parameters, priorities, and risks for enterprise-wide IT initiatives to maximize return on investment.
  • Demonstrate ability to recruit, hire, and motivate a high-performing IT team that values transparency and accountability.

Requirements:

  • 20+ years of experience in IT/tech, preferably in retail organizations or services companies managing end-to-end responsibilities for enterprises.
  • Experience in digital transformation for enterprises, with retail industry preferred, spanning across business processes.
  • Experience with omnichannel systems required for a new-generation retailer.
  • Educational background and/or equivalent work experience in IT/Computer Science.
  • Ability to define and manage a futuristic IT architecture – spanning applications, data, and security.
  • Experience in establishing an IT governance model across the organization.
  • Experience in DevOps transformation, Process transformation, and exposure to AI and automation technologies.
  • Target orientation and familiarity with service delivery constructs relevant to IT services – experience in building and managing a partner ecosystem.
  • Front-line leadership and communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of technology and architecture concepts – Industry trends/disruptors.
