Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical engineering components, automating processes, and reviewing 2D detail drawings.

You will work in a collaborative environment as a key resource for mechanical design and development, understanding customer requirements, and proposing solutions that meet functionality and optimization goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical engineering components
  • Automate processes using mechanical and electromechanical concepts
  • Review and check 2D detail drawings
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to qualify new designs
  • Achieve customer specifications and requirements
  • Offer technical support
  • Work on multiple phases or sub-tasks of projects or entire projects of moderate complexity

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Station DRI-Full machine Conceptual design, manufacturing design,DFM,SOP, RF design
  • 3D Part modeling,3D finishing and Assembly Details, cots items spec freeze and localization
  • Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Mechanical engineering or Equivalent with 4 to 10 years of relevant experience

Requirements:

  • Experience in automation, electromechanical / mechatronics and related concepts
  • Understanding of customer requirements, proposing feasible ideas and concepts
  • Well-versed with creation, reading and interpretation of engineering drawings and standards particularly precision components, fabricated structures
  • Wide knowledge of automation products
  • Validation of engineering components and concepts through engineering calculations
  • Selection of commercial items like Bearings, motor, gear box, Servomotor, sensors, conveyors etc..
  • Awareness about best machining process, heat treatment process, engineering materials, surface treatment, EDM EBM mechatronics etc.
  • Knowledge about material handling equipment,
  • Able to understand and apply limits fits and tolerances, GD & T, surface finish
  • Good knowledge of DFx (DFM,DFS,DFA…) concepts
  • Knowledge of robotics, robot selection, application is an added advantage
  • Well-convergent with CAD 2D/3D platform particularly AUTO CAD , SOLID WORKS (Mandatory)
