Job Title: Tech Expert for Cloud and DevOps

Job Description:

  • The selected candidate will be responsible for managing a TFS system, ensuring smooth deployment of software products to production environments.
  • This role involves orchestrating deployments across multiple environments for various products.
  • The ideal candidate will create and maintain application configuration files, manage release branching and maintenance.
  • Additionally, they will perform application deployment enhancements and undertake other duties assigned by the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploying software and database scripts to complex production environments
  • Writing advanced automation scripts using Powershell, Ansible or similar scripting language
  • Transitions from traditional manual deployments to automated continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)
  • Automating build and packaging of Java/JavaScript (ie Maven) and dot net services
  • Managing application configuration files for multiple environments
  • General understanding of webserver software such as IIS and Apache and application deployment automation
  • Experience with configuration change control, validation and the automation thereof is required
  • Working experience deploying software in OnPrem and Cloud environment is required
  • Experience in building, deploying and maintaining containerized software in OpenShift or Kubernetes and automation thereof is a plus.

Requirements:

  • BS Degree or equivalent work experience in a technical discipline.
  • Strong experience administering and using TFS and Visual Studio.
  • Experience with GitLab version control and GitLab pipeline development
  • A minimum of 3-4 years experience deploying software and database scripts to complex production environments is required.
  • Strong working experience automating and managing application configuration files for multiple environments
  • Knowledge of Linux (RHEL) and Windows.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and follow up to ensure achievement of deadlines, outcomes, and results
  • Demonstrate company core values of excellence, ownership, collaboration, and integrity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Banking/Financial services industry
  • Knowledge of DevOps, Configuration Management and Agile practices
  • Knowledge of large scale deployment to multiple servers and environments
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
