Job Description

A Data Engineer with 5+ years of experience is required to design, develop, and maintain large-scale data systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Trino (PrestoSQL) in production environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable data pipelines using Trino (PrestoSQL).
  • Optimize SQL queries for performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data systems and processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The following skills and qualifications are required:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Trino (PrestoSQL) in production environments.
  • Proficiency in SQL performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Experience with distributed computing frameworks and large-scale data systems.
  • Knowledge of Hive Metastore, Iceberg, Delta Lake, HDFS, Kafka, S3, GCS, or ADLS.
  • Familiarity with Linux, shell scripting, and troubleshooting JVM-based applications.
  • Exposure to monitoring and logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, etc.).
  • Experience with Kubernetes or Docker-based deployments (preferred).
