Database Developer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Developer to join our organization. This role requires a strong expertise in database design, development, performance optimization, and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Collaborate with application development teams to translate data requirements into efficient database designs.
  • Perform data modeling and create ER diagrams.
  • Optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.
  • Implement indexing strategies and query optimization techniques.
  • Monitor database performance metrics and proactively resolve issues.
  • Manage backups, recovery, and disaster recovery plans for databases.
  • Ensure database security, access control, and data integrity.
  • Handle patching, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes for system-to-system data integration.
  • Implement data warehousing solutions for reporting and analytics.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 6-7 years of proven experience as a Database Developer.
  • Expert-level SQL programming.
  • Strong knowledge of database design, data modeling, and normalization.
  • Experience with performance tuning and large-scale database optimization.
  • Proficiency in administration tasks (backup, recovery, security, replication).
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools and data integration.
  • Familiarity with version control.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
