Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing customer drawing and standards for material specifications. This involves checking the feasibility of properties and performance based on existing capability and capacity available in-house. The role also includes initiating activities calling for actual testing before committing to performance and analyzing new components, materials, and technologies to evaluate functionalities for all products.

  1. Review of Customer drawing & standards for Material specifications
  2. Checking & validation on feasibility of properties / performance based on the existing capability / capacity available in house (BFL)
  3. Case to case basis initiate activities calling for actual testing before committing on performance
  4. Ability to initiate innovative product development.
  5. Analyse new components, materials and technologies to evaluate functionalities for all products
  6. Independently facilitates forging validations & trials
  7. Shall be conversant with Micro alloyed Steel portfolio
  8. Document records for all process/ project proposals and associated activities.
  9. Check & Validate PPAP and Control Plans for all NPD's
  10. Give guidance to the team on technical compliance
  11. Experience on Quality Systems – IATF, ISO etc

Key Deliverables & Technical skills required

  • In depth knowledge on Metallurgy, forging, heat treatment, product testing and performance mapping
  • Knowledge of PPAP, FMEA etc
  • Experience on ISO/ IATF & or allied systems

Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years' experience in Process setting, Forging domain

Graduation / Post Graduation in Metallurgy

Required Skills:

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of metallurgy, forging, heat treatment, and product testing. They should also be knowledgeable about quality systems and have experience in process setting and forging domains.
