Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CAD Designer to join our team. As a Senior CAD Designer, you will play a critical role in developing detailed and accurate 2D/3D CAD models and drawings for sheet metal components.

You will be responsible for ensuring manufacturability, structural integrity, and compliance with standards, while organizing technical data systematically and collaborating closely with project teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Development
    • Interpret project briefs and customer drawings to develop manufacturable designs.
    • Create accurate 2D and 3D CAD models using SolidWorks for base frames, acoustic canopies, electrical cabinets, and portable light towers.
    • Ensure feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and design intent alignment.
  • Sheet Metal Expertise
    • Apply strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication techniques including material types and gauges, bend allowances and K-factors, weld joint planning and laser-friendly nesting.
    • Incorporate features that simplify assembly and improve quality.
  • Collaboration and Cross-functional Work
    • Coordinate with engineering, fabrication, and project management teams.
    • Address feedback from fabrication and QA for continuous improvement.
    • Contribute to design optimization and cost-saving solutions.
