Remote Animation Mentor

We are a dynamic animation studio seeking an experienced animator and rigger to mentor and direct our artists in the field of animation.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will provide expert guidance on software training for film and advertising needs, teaching animation and rigging techniques in various styles, and enhancing individual skills of in-house animators and riggers.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive software training on Autodesk Maya and Blender.
  • Teach advanced animation and rigging techniques in realistic, cartoonish, stylized, etc. styles.
  • Mentor junior animators and riggers to improve their skills through effective teaching and feedback.
  • Share expertise as an animator and rigger in global cinema projects.

This part-time role involves approximately 5-10 hours/week, working remotely only. We offer flexible paid hourly/weekly compensation. The ideal candidate will possess mastery of animation principles, problem-solving skills, and adaptability to suit project requirements.

Requirements:
  • Expertise in animation and rigging using Blender and Maya software.
  • Strong understanding of animation principles and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to adapt animation style to suit the project.
  • Familiarity with anatomy and deformation of living creatures.
  • Ability to create rigging that facilitates animators.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
