Role Overview

The role of Investment Manager involves playing a crucial part in the company's expansion plans, working closely with investors to attract international investments.

This involves understanding various business sectors of client countries, identifying opportunities for cross-border investments, and engaging with clients to generate leads and support economic development agencies towards attracting investments in their region.

The successful candidate will have strong networking skills, a thorough understanding of various business sectors, and excellent communication skills to interact with overseas companies and consultants via various modes of communication like email, telephonic interviews, participating in seminars/networking events, and meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand client's proposition, geography, various sectors, business strengths of the region, tax benefits for an investor, policies, and compliances.
  • Manage investment promotion projects for client geographies (economic development organisations).
  • Conduct evaluation meetings with Indian companies/conglomerates.
  • Engage in discussions with CXOs of Indian companies and develop an understanding of their expansion plans in various international markets.
  • Identify companies with business interests to invest/expand in international markets and generate leads.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-4 years in trade promotion bodies/expert networks/trade & investment promotion/investment attraction/SME-corporate banking/economic development/market entry with experience in business development and handling overseas clients.
  • Strong industry expertise and networks. Experience of business development will be preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with fluency in English is must.
  • Understanding of market entry, cross-border investments, and internationalisation via international market expansion.
  • Experience of new business development and client handling.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline, preference for master's in fields of economics, finance, international business (other disciplines will be considered where candidates can demonstrate core skills required).
  • Demonstrated ability to work inter-team, collaborate, ideate, engage with clients, and work in global teams.
