Cloud Support Engineer Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, with expertise in Windows Server management and Office 365 administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, patch management, and performance tuning.
  • Deliver remote support services to resolve issues related to cloud services, server infrastructure, networking, and productivity software.
  • Handle end-to-end migration of applications and infrastructure to the cloud, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
  • Provide expert-level support for Office 365, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and other associated services.
  • Configure and troubleshoot printer setups across various network environments.
  • Implement and troubleshoot networking solutions, including VPN, VLAN, firewall configurations, and TCP/IP protocols.
  • Administer Active Directory environments, including user/group management, GPO deployment, and DNS configuration.
  • Configure and optimize Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) for secure remote access.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in cloud support and administration is an advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in Office 365 administration is required.
  • Solid understanding of Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory management is necessary.
  • Experience with printer setup and troubleshooting across different network configurations is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of networking principles and protocols is essential.
  • Ability to provide effective remote support demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and customer-centric attitude is required.
  • Certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary to articulate technical concepts to non-technical users.
