Job Role

A Patent Specialist is required to draft patent applications for inventions in the field of Information and Communication Technologies.

  • The selected candidate will be responsible for drafting provisional specifications and patent applications, including well-crafted claim sets that conform to US and EP patent legal and procedural standards.
  • They will deliver prosecution projects including formulating response strategies for office actions and drafting complete responses to office actions.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent domain knowledge in ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) and experience in patent drafting and/or prosecution with at least two years of experience in patent drafting for the US jurisdiction.
  • They should be able to perform multiple tasks and work independently on assigned projects, creating processes for client deliverables, talent development etc.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering/Technology from a reputed institute.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to train and mentor team members.
  • 4+ years of experience in patent drafting and/or prosecution with at least two years of experience in patent drafting for the US jurisdiction.

Experience of drafting 50+ patent applications for the US domain is desirable.
