Network Security Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring data confidentiality, integrity, and availability by defending against network-based threats and vulnerabilities.

About the Job

This position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network infrastructures across enterprise environments. You will be responsible for monitoring network traffic and security events using IDS/IPS and SIEM platforms, conducting regular network vulnerability assessments, and implementing mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy secure network architectures for on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and network access control systems.
  • Monitor network traffic and security events using IDS/IPS and SIEM platforms.
  • Conduct regular network vulnerability assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with SOC and IT teams to investigate and remediate network-related incidents.
  • Develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Perform risk assessments and threat modeling for network infrastructure.
  • Ensure secure configuration and patching of routers, switches, and other network devices.
  • Lead network segmentation and zero-trust initiatives to reduce attack surface.
  • Stay informed on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
Requirements
  • 5–7 years of experience in network security engineering or architecture.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing enterprise firewalls.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols.
  • Experience with IDS/IPS tools.
  • Familiarity with VPN technologies and secure remote access.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking and security controls.
  • Experience with packet analysis tools.
  • Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture and secure SD-WAN implementations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP Security, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional security initiatives.
