Seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to create innovative mechanical building services designs for Railway Stations and other Railway Buildings.

This role requires strong technical expertise, including heat load calculations, duct & pipe sizing, and pressure drop calculations. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering and be well-versed in industry-standard software like AutoCAD, MEP Revit, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential for success in this role.

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Designing mechanical building services for Railway Stations and other Railway Buildings
  • Performing heat load calculations, duct & pipe sizing, and pressure drop calculations
  • Selecting HVAC equipment, including chillers, AHU, FCU, boilers, fans, pumps, and other associated equipment
  • Preparing technical submittals
  • Developing positive professional relationships with colleagues and communicating openly about project progress
  • Supervising and coordinating other engineers and CAD technicians
  • Ensuring that health and safety practices align with company policies

Requirements for this position include:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical / thermal engineering
  • Membership to an accredited engineering body (e.g., IMechE, CIBSE, ISHRAE, ASHRAE)
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical HVAC designing
  • Experience working on UK projects
  • Proficiency in technical software, such as IES, Hevacomp, HAP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in work approach
