Job Opportunity: Visual Designer

About the Role

We are seeking an exceptionally talented visual designer to collaborate with our creative director, learning experience designers, and content developers. You'll operate visual design software and tools to produce branded learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand training objectives and target audience, identify effective solutions, and deliver results on time.
  • Ensure consistency in brand standards and guidelines, adhering to visual identity.
  • Create scenes and visuals from scratch, designing and editing character systems for effective storytelling, and applying expert knowledge of perspective, lighting, and color-coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest creative tools and trends, leveraging proficiency in various design softwares.
  • Design with accessibility and usability in mind, utilizing expertise in type ramp and styling, responsive design, and designing for various displays.
  • Maintain high attention to detail, ensuring visually appealing elements are aligned, margins are set, color values are accurate, and font style is consistent.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively, managing time and delivering results on time.

About the Team:

The Workplace Health and Safety team leads cross-functional projects that require collaboration and partnership with various units and technical subject matter experts. We engage with operations, tech, engineering, and other partners to create pathways for future partnerships and innovate solutions.

Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4+ years of design experience
  • Experience in storyboarding
  • Available online portfolio
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent experience in MS PowerPoint, including designing presentation templates, animation, and slide transitions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards
  • Experience in prototyping
  • Experience in animation/graphics motion design
