Job Title: Business Content Editor

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled content editor to work with our team in creating engaging and accurate business content.

The ideal candidate will have excellent English language skills, strong editorial abilities, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:
  • Create engaging and accurate business content by writing, editing, and proofreading articles and reports.
  • Develop excellent editorial judgment and a keen editorial eye.
  • Write succinctly, objectively, and accurately under deadline pressure.
  • Handle a variety of subject areas in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Translate and edit content for clarity, readability, and conciseness.
  • Verify facts, dates, statistics, and other information to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with editors and other team members to improve the quality and coherence of the content.
  • Conduct research when necessary to fact-check and validate the information in the content.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/PG/Master's degree in journalism, communications, English, or a related field.
  • Excellent command of the English language, including exceptional grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
  • Knowledge and ability to write/edit business copies.
  • Strong editing, proofreading, and fact-checking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Able to adjust to a well-defined editorial style & tone of voice.
  • Technically savvy.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in using editing tools and software.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices is a plus.
