Cloud Efficiency Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Operations Engineer / Cloud Cost Optimization Engineer to optimize cloud infrastructure costs.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have expertise in scripting/programming, monitoring, and cost optimization with a passion for improving reliability and efficiency.

Key responsibilities include acting as the go-to expert for monitoring and optimizing cloud infrastructure costs across AWS, Azure, and GCP, closely tracking daily/weekly usage, spending patterns, and billing reports, and highlighting anomalies.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain scripts/automation for cost reporting, resource clean-up, and efficiency improvements.
  • Work with engineering teams to right-size compute, storage, and database resources.
  • Identify and implement reserved instances, savings plans, auto-scaling policies, and storage lifecycle policies to reduce spend.
  • Leverage native tools like AWS Cost Explorer, CloudWatch, GCP Billing, as well as third-party monitoring platforms.
  • Contribute to SRE practices by monitoring infrastructure reliability while balancing costs.
Requirements:
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP services (EC2, S3, IAM, GKE, BigQuery, etc.)
  • Experience in cloud cost monitoring & optimization
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Python, Bash, Shell, etc.)
  • Understanding of SRE concepts: reliability, scalability, monitoring, and automation
  • Prior experience in cost analysis and optimization for enterprise workloads
