Job Overview

A seasoned IT professional is required to manage network security policies and procedures, as well as implement and maintain access-list and firewall configurations.

  • Develop and enforce robust network security protocols
  • Implement and maintain firewall and access-list policies
  • Conduct daily performance checks on devices and periodic audits to ensure compliance
  • Troubleshoot issues at layers 1, 2, and 3 of the OSI Model
  • Apply security patches as required to maintain a secure environment
  • Monitor and maintain service levels while overseeing the configuration, administration, and monitoring of network security infrastructure in a 24/7 environment
  • Collaborate with OEMs for technical support, replacement, and reconfiguration of faulty firewalls and NIPS
  • Produce technical documentation, network diagrams, inventory control documentation, and security documents
  • Investigate, isolate, and resolve firewall and NIPS incidents with root cause analysis
  • Work with helpdesk teams, other IT support teams, and application support teams to troubleshoot and resolve high-priority incidents
  • Design and implement firewall, site-to-site VPNs, and IDS/IPS solutions for DC/DR/Cloud and branch office environments
  • Update and expand knowledge base in ITSM tools
  • Identify areas for automation to improve operational efficiency
  • Automate and integrate tools with REST API/SDK and security dashboards, Infosec tools (AD, IDAM, PAM, SIEM, SOAR)
  • Perform patch updates, upgrades, and maintenance of firewalls and NIPS according to compliance and audit requirements
  • Closure of compliance and audit points within agreed timelines

Requirements:

  • Experience with network security policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of access-list and firewall configurations
  • Familiarity with daily performance checks and periodic audits
  • Skill in troubleshooting issues at layers 1, 2, and 3 of the OSI Model
  • Ability to apply security patches and maintain a secure environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
