Senior Data Automation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to fill this challenging role. This position offers the opportunity to work on meaningful projects, collaborate with talented colleagues, and contribute to the success of our organization.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Test Automation Frameworks: Design and implement robust data test automation frameworks using PySpark and SQL queries.
  • Reusable Functions: Develop reusable functions and classes for QA testing using Databricks.
  • Test Plans: Evaluate the testability of requirements and create comprehensive test plans that support business and technological solutions.
  • Test Data Preparation: Identify and prepare test data using various techniques, including data masking methodologies.
  • SQL Query Tuning: Tune SQL queries, Stored Procedures, Views, etc., for performance improvements.
  • Urgency Management: Maintain urgency in completing assigned tasks while adapting quickly to changes.

Requirements:
  • Quality Assurance Experience: 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience on enterprise-level applications, including data engineering and data warehouse testing.
  • Azure Skills: Good knowledge of Azure, ADF, ADB, Synapse is desirable.
  • Complex SQL Queries: Experience in writing complex PySpark and SQL queries, with ability to determine types of testing required (data validation, regression, etc.).
  • Back-end/ETL Testing: Strong back-end/ETL testing skills with high-level SQL skills.
  • Data Warehouse Testing: Adequate experience and clear understanding of data warehouse and data mart testing.
  • Data Quality Framework: Extensive exposure to large data sets and data quality framework.
  • Defect Tracking: Defect tracking experience using Jira or Bugzilla.

Preferred Skills:
  • Data Models: Knowledge of data models and entity relationship diagrams.
