Job Description

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in virtualization and Windows systems administration. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Hyper-V architecture, installation, configuration, and management. They should also have knowledge of networking concepts, including VLANs, virtual switches, and firewalls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and manage Hyper-V hosts, clusters, and virtual machines (VMs).
  • Set up and configure virtual networks and storage solutions to support Hyper-V environments.
  • Implement and manage high availability solutions, including Hyper-V clustering and replication.
  • Continuously monitor the performance, availability, and security of the Hyper-V infrastructure.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues related to Hyper-V hosts, VMs, and related networking and storage components.
  • Regularly apply updates and patches to Hyper-V hosts and VMs to ensure system stability and security.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in virtualization and Windows systems administration.
  • Experience with Hyper-V architecture, installation, configuration, and management.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, including VLANs, virtual switches, and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with storage solutions, such as SAN, NAS, and direct-attached storage (DAS).
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery tools and practices for Hyper-V environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
