Job OverviewSpearhead data warehousing and modeling initiatives to drive business growth.

We are seeking a seasoned Data Architect to lead our team in developing innovative data solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data warehousing and data modeling techniques, as well as experience with Big Data tools and frameworks.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Select and integrate Big Data tools and frameworks to provide requested capabilities.
  2. Develop and maintain data pipelines implementing ETL processes, monitoring performance, and advising necessary infrastructure changes.
  3. Translate complex technical and functional requirements into detailed designs.
  4. Investigate and analyze alternative solutions for data storing, processing, etc. to ensure streamlined approaches are implemented.
  5. Serve as a mentor to junior staff by conducting technical training sessions and reviewing project outputs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong data engineering skills on GCP cloud platforms (Airflow, Cloud Composer, Data Fusion, Data Flow, Data Proc, Big Query).
  • Experience with building stream-processing systems using Storm or Spark-Streaming.
  • Good knowledge of Big Data querying tools (Pig, Hive, Impala).
  • Experience with Spark, SQL, and Linux.
  • Knowledge of various ETL techniques and frameworks (Flume, Apache NiFi, DBT).
  • Experience with messaging systems (Kafka or RabbitMQ).
  • Good understanding of Lambda Architecture and its advantages/drawbacks.
